warm-upWarm-up is the light exercise which is generally performed before doing regular heavy exercise. It is very essential as it slowly increases our body temperature  until the normal working temperature is reached. This improves muscle elasticity and reduce the sudden strain on the heart. It will activate the heat-dissipation mechanisms in the body which produces efficient sweating. It help to prevent overheating in the regular exercise.

Warm up increases the temperature of the blood. So the amount of oxygen it can hold decreases and As a result more oxygen made available to the working muscles. It enhance the overall performance.

Types of warm-up

There are variety of ways to warm up. Basically it is categories into two  parts.

1.Full Warm-Up

It involves low-intensity cardio work for 5 To 15 minutes until sweating.it starts blood flowing and prepare body to heavy exercise.

2.Light Set Warm-Up

This involves doing a number of gradually heavier sets starts from light to heavy.  It will basically prepare a specific groups of the muscle to do exercises. Light sets are necessary before each new exercise. Dont do Too much otherwise your work sets will suffer.
